Quick answers for hosts planning a wedding, party, fundraiser, formal, or corporate event with Toast Album.
Do guests need to download an app?
No. Guests scan the event QR code and upload from their phone browser.
Can guests upload photos?
Yes. Toast Album accepts JPEG, PNG, GIF, WebP, HEIC and HEIF. The exact original is preserved for your download, while the gallery uses a separate browser-friendly preview.
Are guests or photos unlimited?
Guest numbers are not capped. The current self-serve packages allow 50, 500 or 2,000 photos with explicit original-storage limits. Unusually large events are reviewed separately before purchase.
Is the gallery private?
Yes. Guests can only upload or view photos with the private QR code or link you share — the event can't be opened by guessing a code. You can also add an optional passcode as an extra layer, and hosts manage the event from their own account.
Can I download everything after the event?
Yes. Hosts can download the exact original files in one or more numbered ZIP parts, including the original HEIC or HEIF when that is what a guest uploaded. We do not add a duplicate converted photo to the download.
When should I share the QR code?
Most hosts add it to table cards, signage, invitations, or a screen near the entrance.
Can I start free?
Yes. You can create an event for free and upgrade later. Paid galleries are retained for 12 months; the free gallery is retained for 60 days.
Can I print my own QR table cards?
Yes. Choose Modern Arch, Wildflower or Classic Frame, edit the wording, then download an A5 PDF, an A4 two-up PDF with a cutting guide, or a high-resolution PNG to print yourself or through a local printer.
